About these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of medivtal.co.za and any purchase you make from MediVtal. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Who we are
ZN Medical Solutions (Pty) Ltd, company registration number 2025/328621/07 trading as MediVtal operates medivtal.co.za. References to "MediVtal", "we", "us", and "our" throughout these terms refer to ZN Medical Solutions (Pty) Ltd trading as MediVtal.

2. Products
Supplement classification
MediVtal products are complementary medicines (Category D). They are not registered medicines. They have not been evaluated by the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) for quality, safety, or intended use.
Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
Medical advice
Nothing on this website — including product descriptions, ingredient explanations, blog posts, or email communications — constitutes medical advice. All content is for informational purposes only.
You should consult your healthcare provider before starting any supplement regimen, particularly if you are:

Taking chronic prescription medication (including metformin, blood thinners, thyroid medication, or immunosuppressants)

Product images and descriptions
We make every effort to display product colours, packaging, and descriptions accurately. Minor variations may occur between the product image shown and the physical product delivered, particularly during packaging updates.
Availability
We operate with deliberately conservative stock levels to maintain ingredient quality. Products may sell out. If a product is out of stock after you have placed an order, we will notify you promptly and offer a full refund or a backorder option.
3. Ordering and payment
Placing an order
By placing an order on medivtal.co.za, you are making an offer to purchase the product(s) at the stated price. Your order is confirmed when you receive an order confirmation email from us.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order at our discretion, including where a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error. In this case, we will notify you and issue a full refund.
Pricing
All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT at the applicable rate unless otherwise stated. Delivery costs are shown separately at checkout.
Prices may change from time to time. The price applicable to your order is the price shown at the time you complete your purchase.
Payment
We accept payment via the methods shown at checkout (credit/debit card, EFT, and others as available). Payment is processed securely through Shopify Payments. MediVtal does not store your card details.
4. Delivery
Delivery areas
We deliver nationwide across South Africa. Delivery times and costs are set out on our Shipping Policy page.
Delivery timeframes
Delivery timeframes are estimates only and not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by courier services, force majeure events, or incorrect delivery addresses provided by the customer.
Risk and ownership
Risk of loss passes to you when your order is dispatched. Ownership of the products passes to you when payment is received in full.
5. Consumer rights — Returns and refunds
In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA):
5-day cooling off period
If you purchased MediVtal products as a result of direct marketing (including email, social media advertising, or any unsolicited communication), you have the right to cancel your order within 5 business days of receiving the product, without penalty, for any reason.
To exercise this right, contact us at support@medivtal.co.za within 5 business days of delivery. We will arrange collection at our cost and issue a full refund within 15 business days of receiving the returned product in its original, unopened condition.
General returns
Outside of the direct marketing cooling off period, we accept returns of unopened, undamaged products within 30 days of purchase. You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the product is defective or incorrectly supplied.
Defective or incorrectly supplied products
If you receive a product that is damaged, defective, or not what you ordered, contact us at support@medivtal.co.za within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a description of the issue. We will arrange collection at our cost and either replace the product or issue a full refund, at your election.
Products that cannot be returned
For health and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns of:

Opened supplement products (unless defective)

Products that have been stored incorrectly or show signs of misuse

Products returned after 30 days of purchase (outside of a defective product claim)

6. Your account
If you create an account on medivtal.co.za, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@medivtal.co.za if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
7. Intellectual property
All content on medivtal.co.za — including text, product descriptions, formulation rationales, images, logos, and the MediVtal brand name — is the property of ZN Medical Solutions (Pty) Ltd trading as MediVtal and protected by South African copyright law.
You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, or use any content from this site for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law:

MediVtal is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of our products or website

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from a purchase is limited to the price you paid for the product(s) in question

We are not liable for losses arising from your failure to follow product instructions, label warnings, or medical advice
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
9. Privacy and data
Your privacy matters to us. How we collect, use, and protect your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, both available on our website. We process your personal data in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Your continued use of the site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
For significant changes, we will notify customers via email where we hold a valid email address.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of our site will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
